Grades are based on tests, quizzes, classwork and homework.

 

Each quarter there will be approximately 3 chapter tests, and 1-2 quizzes. Tests count twice (approximately 40%) and quizzes once (approximately 10%).

 

There will be a classwork grade based upon homework, classwork and computer assignments worth approximately 50%.

 

In addition, there will be 4 quarterly finals, which together will comprise your final exam grade.  The 2^nd quarter and 4^th quarter exams will be given during testing week.

 

Each student will start with 100 points for their classwork grade (50%).  At the end of each quarter a grade will be assigned based upon the total points accumulated.  This may not necessarily equate to the exact alpha grade:
