!     Be in the classroom on time, which means in your seat when the bell rings

!     You are expected to be attentive and participate in class

!     When you would like to speak you must raise your hand, and wait to be called on

!     Unexcused lateness and cutting will not be tolerated

!     Three latenesses = one cut and phone call home

!     One cut = after-school detention and phone call home

!     You will respect other students at all times, which means listening when others are speaking and keeping your hands and feet to yourself.

!     You will respect the teacher, or guest speaker, at all times, which means listening attentively, asking questions and following directions.

!     You may only leave the classroom in an emergency situation, such as fire or extreme lavatory distress.  Please use the facilities between periods.

!     Disruption of the class will be heavily penalized in the form of grade reduction, after school detention, and/or suspension.  BAD BEHAVIOR WILL NOT BE TOLERATED!!!!!!!!!!!!

!     Assigned homework is to be handed in the next day.  Failure to complete assignments will have an adverse impact on your grade.

!     Quarter and final grades will be based on chapter tests, unit tests, quizzes, homework, daily classroom activities, behavior and participation.

!     There will be four quarterly exams based upon the work you do during the semester.  Specific details will be provided, as we get closer to it.

!     You are expected to come prepared each day with required materials: binder, workbook, textbook, pencils, and folder are required.

!     The computer will be utilized during this course.  You are responsible for safeguarding your work.  You are also expected to treat the computer with respect.  Failure to do so will negatively impact your grade.

!     Remain in your assigned seat until dismissed (the bell does not dismiss you)

AS A STUDENT, YOU ARE IN THIS CLASS TO LEARN AND IMPROVE YOURSELF AS BOTH AN INDIVIDUAL AND A STUDENT.  IF YOU PUSH YOURSELF TO DO YOUR BEST, YOU WILL LEARN SOMETHING VALUABLE, RECEIVE THE GRADE YOU DESERVE AND SUCCEED IN THIS CLASS!!!!
